Chinese crave for fashion, does not limit to affordable pieces of clothing nor to the always expensive and very coveted LV, CD, YSL, D&G et al. (that is foreign luxury bands)."You Western people" (to re-use one of my favourite expression from my dear Chinese friend Lin) have lately discovered or acknowledged the formidable bunch of talent displayed by Chinese designers. The fact is, Chinese Haute Couture was not among the national industry put forward over the last three decades. This year is only the 12th serie of Chinese Fashion week -held in Beijing. A mere child compared to mature (or ageing?) London, New York, Paris and Milan. But nobody puts Baby in a corner. Chinese talents have exploded over the past years (check out these pics from 2007 and 2008 Fashion weeks).
