SAD is coming up...

J'ai le regret de vous faire part de l'arrivee prochaine (si ce n'est deja le cas) de SAD in your life. But what the "L" is SAD? Quick story. A month ago I began writting this:

Yesterday I got up and felt tired. What's unusual about that and worth blogging about it? Allow me to continue...

I arrived at work at 8:30am (kinda late I know). And here I am, alone in the open space, like a Robinson Crusoe on a deserted island... All by myself, with nothing to do and no one to talk with (and it ain't Sunday!!). 5 minutes later the boss arrived (nothing unusual, Juniors arrive before Seniors). And then no one until 9am and the flow of polite inquiries : "How are you?" "Tired" "So am I" etc etc. Tireness can be read on anyone face. I know sometimes it is such a P.I.A. to go to work but we're Thursday. It's WE time (D-1)!!!

And then I remember... When I passed the RBS building this morning I saw it... 8°C... Yup! It's official, Summer is gone (yes i know last summer day was supposed to be on 21 September, but please humour me). So say hello to Dame Autumn with Dame Winter in its wake.

That's so SAD!!! SAD as Seasonal Affective Disorder of course!

BUT that was one month ago... In the meanwhile SAD has definitely settled in our lives (at least in mine)... The 8°C are so last month... Now we are talking about real stuff. Yup!!! 1°C, 2°C, 2cm frost... Say hello to October (end of October, but still it is October) and its gloves, scarves, coats, running noses, redish noses, frozen cheeks and ears... To sum up it is freaking COLD!!!! Totally depressing!!!

As said my British housemate yesterday: "England is such a beautiful country to live in". Please add here the famous British sarcasm and the so French "P*****! F*** ch***! j'en ai marre" and you will have a glimpse of my current mood... Because for God sake IT AIN'T F***ING WINTER YET!!!!

xoxo

Don't forget Yom Kippur on October 9!!!

In the meanwhile, whether or not one heard the shofar, goy or not, we should allow ourselves to follow the 10 days of repentance until Yom Kippur. Let's do our introspection. Don't forget introspection and questioning are the best paths to improvement... (As well as hitting the gym at least 275min/week... so I was told)

Shana Tova!!!
